5$ Comission #1 - Rakhem and Ghesta

I was excited to do this piece from the moment he asked me to do a pair of Star Wars Old Republic characters. You see, while I have no real problem with fanfic or other writing related OCs I don't care for them either, but I really like characters that someone played. It doesn't matter if it's pnp or videogame based, and rpg character is the will of the author but outside the safe enviroment of writing. Things happen that you can't controle; other people tell stories together with you; it's a fantasy emulating a living, breathing world. And I love commiting to paper someone's experiences and characters.

The comissioner didn't gave me a lot of backstory, so I tried to improvise. He didn't say they were a couple but wanted them together and back to back, so I imagined them with a strong friendship. I wanted to make him seem like he's willing to protect her, and that she enjoys the gesture. In my opinion there are few things as beautiful as a male/female friendship with no sexual tension, and that's why I wanted them holding hands. Not the relaxed holding hands of a parkstroller couple, but a tight grip, something meaning Trust.

But anyway, I really like star wars, and since I could draw her with minimum clothing I wanted to draw her wearing something in that weird tecnho-tribal style of the setting. Something modern and post modern, but also something tribal-punk. I imagine the upper part as latex/rubber/whatever, really tight and low cut, with long sleeves that end in gloves (not separated gloves). And as my wife once said "We may complain, but every woman loves to see some clothing almost bursting in the chest area. "You can't contain me, young piece of clothing" is something we all want to be able to say at least once". You can't go against your wife now can you? I imagine the lower piece and something really tiny and in the same material as the top, and with flowing, decorated cloth in the front, but not in the back. For some reason this seemed like really sexy in my mind.

While I had trouble choosing Ghesta's attire, I had no such problems with Rakhem. Only thing Dosrev asked was that this bounty hunter should be shirtless, so my mind flared thinking "LEATHER. Holsters. THIGH holsters. Yeah, LEATHER THIGH holsters. With EXTRA redundant belts, yeah", hehehe.


I know it's a lot to say about a "simple 5$ comission" and a lot of artists pour tons these per week, but for me this isn't work, it's fun, and I really enjoy imagining every little detail. But I digress. Enjoy the drawing.
